The Gross winery in Ratsch an der Weinstrasse is an Austrian winery in the southern Styria wine-growing region .

The winery, founded in 1907, has been run by Alois Gross since 1984, who, according to Hugh Johnson, is an outstanding, perfectionist producer . Alois Gross is one of the pioneers of quality Styrian viticulture. His son Johannes Gross has been responsible for the cellar since 2011.

The vineyard area, which was greatly expanded under the management of Alois Gross, is 40 hectares (as of 2011), 93 percent of which is planted with white grape varieties, mainly Welschriesling , Sauvignon Blanc , Gelber Muskateller and Morillon . The annual production reaches 300,000 bottles, the most famous wines are the Sauvignon Blancs, Morillons, Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer from the Ratscher Nussberg , Sulz , Kittenberg and Perz sites . The winery is a member of the Styrian terroir and classic wineries .
