JG Orb winery
The JG Orb winery in Westhofen is a winery in the German wine-growing region Rheinhessen . The owners are Jan Giselher Orb, Jens Gregor Orb and Julius Georg Orb.
history
The first documented mention of the family's viticultural activity goes back to the cooperative Konz Urbe in 1464. The family has lived in Westhofen since 1754 .
Julius Georg Orb's sons have been co-owners since 2019 and are primarily responsible for the vineyard and cellar work of the traditional Rhineland-Hesse estate . Before that, the sons completed their studies at the Geisenheim University of Applied Sciences , the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and Weincampus Neustadt worked in South Africa , New Zealand , Austria and California .
