The Weisiner See is a lake in the Passow municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is an elongated body of water divided into two basins to the west and north of the eponymous place, a little north of the Müritz-Elde waterway . At the northern end of the lake is the Charlottenhof settlement. The lake is about 1750 meters long and about 250 meters wide in the south basin and about 220 meters in the north basin. In the north basin is also the deepest part of the lake at over six meters. The body of water has a circumference of about four kilometers. The lake has two major tributaries in the north and an outflow to the Elde in the south. The Windmühlenberg, a little over 66 meters high, rises a little south of the lake. The lake is a channel lake and was created during the last Ice Age ( Würme Ice Age ) from a former meltwater channel that was permanently filled with water after the ice receded.
A little south of the lake is the Alte Elde nature reserve near Kuppentin .
