Weissbad is a village in the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden in Switzerland between Appenzell and Wasserauen . It is located at a good 800 meters between the confluence of the Schwendibach and Brüelbach , as well as the tributary of the Wissbach into the Schwendibach , which from here on is called Sitter .

The border between the districts of Schwende and Rüte runs right through the village of Weissbad . While Schwende controls the western part, the eastern part belongs to Rüte. The village of Appenzell is in a similar situation, which is shared by Schwende and Rüte in addition to the Appenzell district .
