Weitek was an American company that in the 1980s produced mathematical coprocessors for IBM -compatible PC systems (for 386s the 3167 , for 486s the 4167 ) and workstations (e.g. SUN ) as well as graphics card processors ( WEITEK 9000 or . 9100 , possibly with video co-processor) designed and produced.

Weitek went bankrupt and was bought by the US company Rockwell Semiconductor .
