Weitenwinterried is a hamlet and part of the municipality Hilgertshausen-Tandern in the district of Dachau , which belongs to Upper Bavaria in Bavaria .
The desert areas of Buxberg and Winterried also belong to Weitenwinterried .
geography
Weitenwinterried is located in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the Lower Bavarian hill country , which belongs to the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural areas of Germany .
Weitenwinterried is located about 2 km northwest of the center of Tandern and about 5 west-northwest of Hilgertshausen . Buxberg is approx. 600 m west and Winterried approx. 300 m north of Weitenwinterried.
The district road DAH 8 runs through Weitenwinterried in a north-west-south-east direction as a continuation of the district road AIC 2 from Allenberg to Tandern.
history
Weitenwinterried and Winterried belong to the Catholic parish Sankt Peter and Paul in Tandern, Buxberg to the Catholic parish Sankt Peter and Paul in Randelsried .
Until July 1, 1972, Weitenwinterried, Winterried and Buxberg belonged to the independent municipality of Randelsried in the Aichach district . On that day, the community was added to the newly founded district of Dachau. On January 1, 1976, Randelsried was broken up as a community and divided. Weitenwinterried, Winterried and Buxberg came after Tandern .
