location

Randelsried and its districts are located in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the Lower Bavarian hill country, which belongs to the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural areas of Germany .

history

At that time, Buxberg , Weitenwinterried and Winterried were still part of the Randelsried community. On July 1, 1972, Randelsried and its districts became part of the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . On January 1, 1976, the parts of the municipality Randelsried, Asbach, Schmarnzell, Lauterbach and Reichertshausen were moved to Altomünster and the parts of the municipality Buxberg, Weitenwinterried and Winterried to Tandern .
