Kiemertshofen is a church village and part of the Altomünster market in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau and has around 203 inhabitants. The district of Kiemertshofen also includes the hamlet of Radenzhofen and the desert areas of Oberschröttenloh and Schloßberg.

location

Kiemertshofen is located at an altitude of 532 meters in the west of the municipality of Altomünster and borders the municipality of Sielenbach . Road connections exist to the core community Altomünster, to Odelzhausen , Sielenbach and Adelzhausen . The street name "Alter Römerweg" is reminiscent of a street route through the place from Roman times. This was part of the Augsburg - Wels connection, which was used both for trade purposes and for troop movement.

history

The place was first mentioned around 1260 as Kunegundeshoven (court of the Kunigunde); In the course of the centuries the place name for Kiemertshofen has slipped away. Until 1976, Kiemertshofen was an independent municipality, which was created in 1818 and also included Radenzhofen and the wastelands of Schloßberg and Oberschröttenloh. On January 1, 1977, Kiemertshofen was incorporated into Altomünster as part of the municipal reform.

Ecclesiastically, Kiemertshofen was always a branch of the parish Tödtenried (today part of Sielenbach).
