Radenzhofen

Radenzhofen

Radenzhofen is a hamlet in the Upper Bavarian market Altomünster . 21 residents live there (as of May 25, 1987).

It is located on the district road DAH 2 between Oberzeitlbach and Kiemertshofen about five kilometers west of the main town and 800 meters east of the church village of Kiemertshofen.

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1253/56 as Rotemshoven (Hof des Ratuni). The three courtyards in the village used to belong to the Altomünster monastery . In 1883 the farmers Andreas and Kreszentia Lichtenstern donated the court chapel . Politically, Radenzhofen had been part of the Kiemertshofen community since 1818. With their incorporation, the place came to Altomünster on January 1, 1977.

The border between the dioceses of Freising and Augsburg and the language border between the Bavarian and Swabian dialects run near Radenzhofen .
