Pfaffenhofen is a district of the Altomünster market in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau . On May 1, 1978, the church village Pfaffenhofen came to Altomünster as a district from Wollomoos .
history
The place appears for the first time clearly in the second Duke arable from 1280 as "Pfaffenhouen", where the Latin addition "prope Altenmvnster" (near Altomünster) refers to this settlement. The place name means "court of a pastor". The church of St. Laurentius stands on a small hill in the middle of the village. She always had her own cemetery. It is only mentioned indirectly in the Konradin register of 1315. The parish seat was Sielenbach until 1866 , since then the village has belonged to the Wollomoos parish.
In 1820 there were 61 people living in 9 houses in Pfaffenhofen. In 1884 81 people lived in 13 houses.

Today's church building dates back to a small part from the 13th century, i.e. from the Romanesque period. The lower wall area (up to a height of three meters) is twice as thick as the masonry above. A major renovation took place in 1650/70, shortly after the Thirty Years War . The church was also given a baroque style.
