Maisbrunn is a district of the Altomünster market in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau . On May 1, 1978, the hamlet of Maisbrunn came to Altomünster as a district from Pipinsried .
history
The place name appears for the first time between 1216 and 1220 in the form of "Maiolsprunnen". The name has nothing to do with maize , which only came to Bavaria as a fodder plant in the 20th century. In the 19th century people still spoke of "Mailsbrunn".
