Aufhausen is a parish village and part of the community Schiltberg in the district of Aichach-Friedberg , which belongs to the administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria .

The district also includes the two hamlets of Bergen and Holzhausen .

geography

Aufhausen is located in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the lower Bavarian hill country, which belongs to the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural areas of Germany .

Aufhausen is about two and a half kilometers south of the center of Schiltberg, Holzhausen 500 meters northeast and Bergen about one and a half kilometers west of Aufhausen.

Aufhausen and Holzhausen lie in the valley of the Weilach coming from Thalhausen and running southwest-northeast , which flows into the Paar at Schrobenhausen . Just north of Holzhausen, the river ditch from Randelsried and Lauterbach in the southeast flows into the Weilach as a right tributary.

Aufhausen is located on the south-west-north-east running district road AIC 3 , which comes from the district of Dachau , where it comes from Thalhausen as DAH 18 , runs through Aufhausen and continues to Höfarten .

history

The Catholic parish Sankt Johannes Baptist in Aufhausen belongs to the deanery Aichach-Friedberg in the diocese of Augsburg. In addition to Bergen and Holzhausen, the parish also has the Sankt Alban branch in Lauterbach .

Until July 1, 1970, Aufhausen and its districts belonged to the Upper Bavarian district of Aichach as an independent municipality and then came to Schiltberg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
