Rapperzell is a church village and part of the community Schiltberg in the district of Aichach-Friedberg , which belongs to the administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria .
geography
Rapperzell is located in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the lower Bavarian hill country, which is part of the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural areas of Germany .
Rapperzell is located about two and a half kilometers west-northwest of Schiltberg.
The west-east running Rapperzeller Bach flows through Rapperzell, which rises south-west of Rapperzell, flows east through Rapperzell and north of Schiltberg flows into the Weilach as a left tributary .
Rapperzell is located on the northwest-southeast running district road AIC 7 from Kühbach to Schiltberg.
history
The Catholic branch Sankt Markus in Rapperzell belongs to the parish of Sankt Maria Magdalena in Schiltberg.
In the eastern part is the former Hofmarkschloss Schloss Rapperzell of the former Hofmark Rapperzell , which was built from 1690 to 1698 under Dominikus Carl von Widmann and owned by Duke Max from 1838 to 1862 .
Until July 1, 1972, Rapperzell belonged as an independent municipality to the Upper Bavarian district of Aichach , then came to the newly founded Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria and was incorporated into the municipality of Schiltberg on the same day.
