history

Until the church is planted

The Kühbach monastery was founded in Kühbach around 1011 by Count Adalbero von Kühbach and his wife Wildburg . It was dissolved as part of secularization in 1803. The market in Kühbach belonged to the Munich Rent Office and the Aichach Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . Kühbach had a market court with its own magistrate rights. In the course of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

District affiliation

It was not until 1972 that the market was assigned to the administrative district of Swabia as part of the district reform .

Incorporations

On April 1, 1972, the previously independent community of Oberschönbach was incorporated into Kühbach. Stockensau was added on July 1, 1972. On January 1, 1978 areas of the dissolved communities Haslangkreit and Unterbernbach followed .

In 2010 there were also 58 farms with an agriculturally used area of ​​2,931 ha, of which 2,600 ha were arable land and 327 ha were permanent green space. The Kühbach brewery, owned by Baron von Beck-Peccoz , is one of the well-known breweries in the region.
