The Aichacher Zeitung is a daily newspaper published in Aichach and the surrounding area from the publishing house Mayer & Söhne Druck- und Mediengruppe GmbH & Co KG, based in Aichach, and is produced in Mayer & Söhne's own printing house. The Aichacher Zeitung emerged from the official journal for the Royal District Office of Aichach , which first appeared on January 1, 1865. Its founder was Ignaz Mayer, a print shop owner, book and stationery dealer in Aichach. From 1925 the newspaper appeared as the Aichacher Zeitung , but without filing the title of the Official Gazette for the Royal District Office of Aichach . After the Second World War , the paper was officially published again from August 1, 1949, and has the subtitles Altbayerische Heimatzeitung, Altomünsterer and Pöttmeser Landbote . The newspaper initially appeared in conjunction with the Schwäbische Landeszeitung , Augsburg, and since 1951 the supraregional part has been delivered by the Ingolstadt Danube Courier . While the newspaper appeared once or twice a week as an official gazette , since 1960 it has been on the market every day from Monday to Saturday.
