The newspaper was later taken over by the StadtZeitung in Augsburg and has been published as a weekly newspaper in the entire Altmühlfranken area since 1989 . The newspaper is published by the city newspaper Weißenburg GmbH, behind which the Mayer & Sons printing and media group stands. The publisher is based in Weißenburg. The company group includes the daily newspaper Aichacher Zeitung and the free weekly newspapers Aichacher Anzeiger, the Bamberg weekly newspaper WOBLA and the city newspaper Augsburg.
