geography

Petersdorf is located in the Augsburg region about 20 km northeast of Augsburg and 12 km west of the district town of Aichach. The community lies at an altitude of 460 to 533.60 m (the second highest point in the Aichach-Friedberg district).

The following districts exist: Alsmoos, Petersdorf, Schönleiten and Willprechtszell.

history

Until the church is planted

Petersdorf belonged to the Munich Rent Office and the Aichach Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria , the municipal edict of 1818 created the municipalities of Alsmoos, Petersdorf, Schönleiten and Willprechtszell.

District affiliation

Since the regional reform in 1972 , the former Upper Bavarian municipality has been assigned to the administrative district of Swabia.

Religions

The Catholic branch St. Nikolaus in Petersdorf belongs to the parish St. Johannes Baptist in Alsmoos . Likewise the village of Indersdorf.

Incorporations

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent communities Alsmoos, Schönleiten and Willprechtszell were incorporated into the Petersdorf community.

mayor

Mayor has been Richard Brandner since 2014 (voter group “Together for Petersdorf”). He became the successor to Johann Settele (electoral association Schönleiten, Willprechtszell, Axtbrunn, Hohenried), who was in office from 2002 to 2014.
Before that, Josef Thrä (Free Association of Voters) was mayor. Richard Brandner announced his resignation on April 30, 2017. In the new election on April 2, 2017, Dietrich Binder was elected as successor from May 1, 2017 with 65% (in the case of a competitor).

In other economic sectors 31 people were employed at the place of work subject to social security contributions.
