Weixin County ( 威信 县 , Wēixìn Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Zhaotong in the northeast of the Chinese province of Yunnan on the border with Guizhou province . Its main town is the large municipality of Zhaxi (扎西 镇). Weixin District has an area of 1,416 km² and has a population of around 390,000 (2004).
Administrative structure
At the community level, the district consists of two large communities and eight communities . These are:
- Shuanghe Township of Miao and Yi双河 苗族 彝族 乡
- Gaotian Parish 高田 乡
- Community Luobu罗布乡
- Community Mafeng林凤乡
- Chang'an Township 长安 乡
- Community Miaogou庙沟乡
- Community Santao三桃乡
- Community Shui Tian水田乡
