Wilikton Innokentyevich Barannikov
Wilikton Innokentjewitsch Barannikow ( Russian Виликтон Иннокентьевич Баранников ; born July 4, 1938 in Ulan-Ude ; † November 29, 2007 ) was a Soviet boxer .
Barannikov was a participant in the 1960 Olympic Games and a silver medalist in the 1964 Olympic Games . In this second participation he beat Luis Zuniga, Chile (4: 1), Adrian Blair, Australia (5: 0), János Kajdi , Hungary (KO 2nd), and James McCourt , Ireland (3: 2), and lost in Final against Poland's Józef Grudzień with 5-0 judges' votes. The following year he returned the favor at Grudzień in the final of the European Championships .
