Velin Donchev Kefalow ( Bulgarian Велин Кефалов ; born September 18, 1968 in Kazanlak ) is a former Bulgarian football player and today's football coach .

Life

Kefalow was trained in the youth academy of FC Rosowa Dolina and played in his professional years as a defender . He has 125 games behind him in the Bulgarian “A Grupa” (German A group ) and scored 32 goals. He began his coaching career in 2003 with the team of FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo and in 2007 he became the sports director of the youth academy of FC Etar Veliko Tarnowo. His passion remained his coaching career and so he returned in 2009 as assistant coach of the Litex Lovetsch . In 2010 he became the coach of FC Etar Veliko Tarnovo. Today he has the UEFA - coaching license .

Kefalow began his career in the first team of FC Rosova Dolina in 1985. There he played SEVEN years as a defender until 1992. Then he moved to FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo and stayed there for five years. In 1997 he was taken over by the Ukrainian team Vorskla Poltava , for which he played for a year. 1998/99 he played again in FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo and then transferred to the team of FK Spartak Pleven . There he stayed for two years and then returned to FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo (2000-2001), where he ended his career as a football player.

Trainer

2001 began the coaching career of the former soccer player Kefalow. He received a three-year contract as an assistant coach with the first team of FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo. In 2003 he became a trainer there and stayed at the wheel until 2007. He then continued his career as sports director of the FC Etar Veliko Tarnowo youth academy. In 2009 he gave up this position and became assistant coach of the Litex Lovetsch . He stayed there until 2010 and then changed his position for one year (2011) from assistant coach to coach of the first team of FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo.
