history

Daniel Welbat was active in the Hamburg live music scene from the age of 16. After recording his debut album Beautiful Disaster in 2011 , he formed the band WellBad . Members were Stefan Reich (double bass), Sebastian Meyer (drums), Simon Andresen (piano) and Nazim Kilic (electric guitar).

In the year it was founded, WellBad went on tour in Germany and Switzerland as the opening act for British guitarist Oli Brown . As Germany winners of the Emergenza Festival, they played at the Taubertal Festival and all over Germany, including in the Markthalle Hamburg , in the Astra and in the Ampere .

The band plays almost exclusively the blues, but does not set any stylistic limits.

Reviews

“Others say: 'A really great album comes from a 23-year-old from Hamburg, from whom we will hear a lot in the future. He calls himself WellBad and with 'Beautiful Disaster' he has given the direction of the blues of the future. ""

"Stomping and sentimental !!!"

- Restorm.com

"Blues for people who don't even know that they like the blues ..."

- BurnYourEars.de

"'Willie Who?' 'The Black What?' Anyway - forget the old ones. WellBad and his boys play their music and it has everything it needs: authenticity, content, a lot of feeling and a coolness that I normally only find with Colin Moore or Everlast. "
