The World Union of Shepherd Dog Associations (WUSV) is an umbrella organization for German Shepherd associations .

history

In May 1968 the representatives of shepherd dog associations from eleven nations founded the EUSV (European Union of Shepherd Dog Associations) in Augsburg . The founding associations came from Belgium , Denmark , Finland , Great Britain , France , the Netherlands , Italy , Austria , Switzerland , what was then Czechoslovakia and the Federal Republic of Germany .

Five years later the association became part of the WUSV (World Union of Shepherd Dog Associations), with 74 member associations from 63 countries. Your goal: Uniform breed standard , comparison of the points of view and the assessment of German shepherds in breeding and performance, clarification of open questions about breeding and training, rearing and keeping as well as the fight against hereditary diseases. Its head office resides under one roof with the Association for German Shepherd Dogs (SV) eV in Augsburg.
