Wenche Steen

Wenche Steen (born July 4, 1952 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian model , actress and editor .

Life

Steen began her career as a model at the age of 20. In 1972 she won the title "Miss Charming". The award ceremony took place in Thailand , where she competed with 33 beauties from around the world. In 1973 she took part after a national elimination as a representative of Norway to the elimination Miss World in the Royal Albert Hall , London . In 1974 she took part as a candidate for Miss Europe for Norway.

In the film series about the Norwegian Olsen Gang she worked in the 1974 film Olsen Gang møter Kongen og Knekten and had a nude appearance in the Royal Suite of the Oslo Grand Hotel . Steen played in the film, as an opponent of the Olsen Gang, the role of "Jenny", the sister of "Knappen" ( Knekten ), played by Frank Robert . After the end of her modeling career, she completed an apprenticeship as an economist at the age of 30. She then worked as an editor and publisher of several Norwegian magazines, including the Sten Jensen Ture , Mann and the Norwegian edition of Playboy . Later she was the director and editor of the magazine Femme and femme.no.

In 2006 she was a member of the jury in the election for Frøken Norge (Fräulein Norway).
