Turn (unit)

The turn was a name for a surface area for land and forest areas in northwest Germany . In general:

  • 1 turn = ½ morning
  • 1 turn = 60 square rods

In the Kingdom and Province of Hanover, the measure was dependent on the region and so in the Landdrostei Stade the measure for the individual offices was:
