Wendell L. Carlson

Wendell L. Carlson (born January 1, 1897 in Jamestown , NY - † October 2, 1994 ) was an American engineer.

From Princeton, NJ, he went to Sarasota and worked for RCA . He held over 100 radio and television patents, including the Radio Telegraph System patent filed in March 1921 (US Patent 1,640,881).

He was honored with the Charles E. Coffin Award from General Electric and the Modern Pioneer Award .
