The city of Wenling ( 温岭市 , Wēnlǐng Shì ) is a county-level city in the prefecture-level city of Taizhou in the province of Zhejiang of China . It has an area of ​​836 km² and has 1.15 million inhabitants.

The lock bridges on the Xin He River (Xin He zhaqiao qun 新 河闸 桥 群) - the four bridges Zhongzha 中 闸, Cizha 糍 闸, Beizha 北 闸 and Xialuzha 下 卢 闸 - have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2006 ( 6-541) .

Wenling has been connected to the high-speed rail network since October 2009.

In November 2012, reports of a so-called dingzihu ( nail house ) in Wenling caused a worldwide sensation, around which a multi-lane road was built after the owners refused to sell.
