Wenzel Wilhelm von Dobschütz (* 1633 (probably) on the Sillmenau estate near Breslau , Principality of Breslau , † 1698 in Thorn , Poland ) was a Silesian landowner and a royal Polish major general .

Wenzel Wilhelm von Dobschütz came from the noble Dobschütz family . His exact date of birth is not known, but was only a few days before his baptism on June 15, 1633 in the Maria Magdalena Church in Breslau .

Dobschütz was the son of the landowner Gottfried von Dobschütz (1591 - approx. 1650), master of the Sillmenau and Klein-Tschansch estates in the Principality of Breslau, and Martha von Oelhafen and Schöllenbach (1606–1666). His mother Martha married after 1651 his second wife's nephew, the Emperor's captain and squire Dietrich von Dobschütz (1625-1659), at least nominally, nor Mr. Gut Wirbsen (also Würben called) in the Principality Jägerndorf , but Good Wirbsen at that time was without form and empty .

He himself remained unmarried, at least nothing is known of a marriage.

Wenzel Wilhelm von Dobschütz was the grandson of the Breslau Council President Adam von Dobschütz , governor of the principality of Breslau .

Dobschütz is mentioned in 1651 as a royal Polish colonel , in 1656 as a Polish major general and commander of Kaminiec .
