Factory airfield
A factory airfield is characterized by the fact that it is used for the development and type certification of aircraft , primarily aircraft and helicopters . On the one hand, vendor parts that are delivered by air are brought directly to the plant; on the other hand, prototypes and aircraft that have not yet been delivered take off and land for first , test and certification flights .
Traffic on company airports
In Germany, scheduled or charter traffic is not permitted on company airports.
The airports in Hamburg-Finkenwerder and Toulouse are specifically used to transport Airbus personnel between the plants.
