Augustiner received further training from 1943 to 1950 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Karl Sterrer and Albert Paris Gütersloh . criticism

Augustiner was one of the most important exponents of French expressionism . He remained true to the representational art, which was mostly implemented in strong colors. The artist's work, which includes nudes, scenes from Christian iconography , genre scenes , landscapes and still lifes , is characterized by a timeless expressionism in the tradition of the French Fauves . His works can be found in the Albertina in Vienna , in the Ministry of Education in Vienna, in the Lentos and the Landesgalerie Linz and in the Catholic student house in Graz. His works can also be found in castles and private collections.
