Werner Böcking

Werner Böcking (* 1929 in Homberg near Duisburg ) is a writer living in Xanten on the Lower Rhine .

Werner Böcking completed a commercial apprenticeship and was drafted into the Volkssturm at the age of 16 . After the war he worked in numerous professions, from 1959 as a technical draftsman in the Xanten Archaeological Park . As early as 1955 he published short stories and short stories. Later his interests culminated in numerous non-fiction books, including on the history and archeology of the Lower Rhine , as well as on Rhine shipping and professional fishing.
