Werner Daum
Werner Daum (born July 14, 1943 in Nuremberg ) is a former German diplomat .
Life
From 1992 to 1995 he headed the human rights department of the German diplomatic mission in Geneva . He served as envoy counselor in the German embassy in Tirana and was German ambassador to Sudan from 1996 to 2000 . Then he was a Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs of Harvard University . As such, he published a critical article about the bombing of the Ash Shifa drug factory .
