Werner Fuchs-Heinritz

Werner Fuchs-Heinritz (as Werner Fuchs ; * December 24, 1941 in Teplitz-Schönau ; † July 9, 2018 ) was a German sociologist .

Life

After graduating from high school in Offenbach am Main in 1961 , he studied sociology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and at the Free University of Berlin , graduating in 1967 as a sociologist.

He then worked from 1967 to 1969 as a research assistant at the Social Research Center at the University of Muenster in Dortmund and in 1970 at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster Dr. phil. PhD. The reviewers for the doctoral thesis were Hans-Jürgen Krysmanski and Heinz Hartmann .

From 1970 to 1971 he was a research assistant at the Philipps University of Marburg and then worked there from 1972 to 1984 as H2 professor for the sociology of education. Since 1984 he has been a professor at the Fernuniversität in Hagen . In 2007 he retired from the service. He then worked as a lecturer until 2009. He died on July 9, 2018 as a result of a traffic accident.
