Werner Heinrich Rath

Werner Heinrich Rath (* 1950 in Oldenburg ) is a German gynecologist and obstetrician .

Life

Werner Heinrich Rath studied medicine at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen from 1968 to 1974 . Here he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. After his time as a medical officer in the German Armed Forces, he began working as a research assistant at the University Women's Clinic in Göttingen in 1977, he was certified as a specialist in 1982, and in 1986 he qualified as a professor in gynecology and obstetrics. From 1987 to 1994 Rath was the senior physician in charge of the University Gynecological Clinic in Göttingen, in 1991 he was appointed professor , and in 1993 he was appointed temporary C3 professor.

From 1994 to 2008 he was Director (C4) of the University Women's Clinic in Aachen . From 2008 he devoted himself to research, teaching and further training, initially at the Medical Faculty Aachen, from 2016 at the Medical Faculty of the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein , Campus Kiel.

Werner H. Rath was a. a. For many years chief editor of the magazine for obstetrics and gynecology as well as the magazine for obstetrics and neonatology .
