Werner Hickel
Werner Hickel (* 1967 in Koblenz ) is a German Germanist and freelance author.
Career
Hickel has lived in Cologne since 1990 , where he studied philosophy, German and politics and received his doctorate in German. He then initially worked as an assistant to the management of a TV production company, before founding the tourism software company Orange Travel GmbH & Co.KG together with a partner at the end of 1998 .
His main job was as a teacher at the Einhard-Gymnasium in Aachen until 2011 and part-time as a freelance author. In 2012 he switched to teaching philosophy and German at Gutenberg-Gymnasium Bergheim . Since 2015 he has been the headmaster of the Rurtalgymnasium in Düren . There he teaches practical philosophy and German.
