Werner Jahn
Werner Jahn (born April 21, 1956 in Füssen ) is a former German ice hockey player . During his career he was active as a defender for Mannheimer ERC , Düsseldorfer EG , Eintracht Frankfurt and Heilbronner EC .
Career
Werner Jahn already played in the regional league team of EC Peiting at the age of 16, coming from the juniors of EV Füssen . Because of his deliberate playing style in defense, he was nicknamed "Professor" there. His professional career then began at EV Füssen in the ice hockey Bundesliga . However, he celebrated the greatest success of his career with the Mannheim ERC team . In 1980 he became German champion under coach Heinz Weisenbach . He himself contributed eight scorer points to the success. He stayed in Mannheim until 1983 and then moved to Düsseldorfer EG for one season before returning to Mannheim via Eintracht Frankfurt , who played in the second national ice hockey league . There he played another year in the highest German class. After another year in Heilbronn with the Heilbronn EC , he ended his career in the second division.
After the career
Werner Jahn owns a practice for physiotherapy in Frankenthal (Palatinate) .
