Werner Mayer (born February 2, 1934 ) is a former German soccer player . For FSV Frankfurt , the player , who was mostly an outside runner in the old World Cup system, played 151 league games from 1951 to 1959 in the then first-class Oberliga Süd , scoring 17 goals for the Bornheimer Hang team .

At the age of 17 Werner Mayer made his debut at FSV Frankfurt in the Oberliga Süd. He stormed on October 21, 1951 in a 2-2 draw at Viktoria Aschaffenburg on the right wing.
