Werner Naumann (born November 23, 1896 in Magdeburg , † June 14, 1952 in Bremen ) was a German businessman and director of the Focke-Wulf aircraft factory in Bremen.

biography

Naumann was the son of an actuary who moved to Bremen in 1898. He attended the new high school. During the First World War he was a medic and he began studying medicine . In 1919 he studied law and economics at the University of Göttingen and then obtained his doctorate in Würzburg. rer. pole. During his studies he became a member of the "Student Choir of Georgia Augusta" (today StMV Blue Singers ).

He joined the Schröder bank in Bremen in 1923 . This is where his connections to the aircraft industry came about. On October 24, 1923, he co-founded the Bremer Flugzeugbau Gesellschaft (Bremer Flugzeugbau AG). On January 1, 1924, the company changed its name to Focke-Wulf Flugzeugbau AG, founded by Naumann, Henrich Focke as construction manager and Georg Wulf as test manager. Naumann has held the position of commercial director in the company since 1924. With the help of the businessman Ludwig Roselius , he was able to overcome the company's initial financial difficulties. In 1930/31 he merged with Albatros Flugzeugwerke . Naumann joined the NSDAP in 1933 . He remained the commercial director of Focke-Wulf during the Nazi era and made a significant contribution to the expansion and the outsourcing of operations. In 1945 he had to leave the factory. In 1950 he became a member of the supervisory board of Focke-Wulf and in 1952 a commercial member of the board again.

He was on the supervisory boards of many companies. 1950 was a co-founder of the Bremen Aviation Association
