Werner Scharhag

Werner Scharhag (born October 29, 1926 - December 21, 2007 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and from 1964 to 1988 mayor of Landau in the Palatinate . He was made an honorary citizen of Landau in the Palatinate in 1991 and was honored for his services as a council member and mayor. Scharhag was also an honorary citizen of Landau's Alsatian twin cities Haguenau (Hagenau) and Ribeauvillé (Rappoltsweiler).
