Werner Schrader (Author)

Werner Schrader (born February 6, 1928 in Bremen -Aumund; † August 27, 2007 ) was a German educator and author of books for children and young people.

Life

After finishing school, Schrader learned to be an electrician. After the end of the Second World War, he successfully completed his studies. From 1951 he worked as a primary school teacher in Bremen-Nord.

Works

Schrader has written a large number of children's books in which, as the father of several children, he has dealt with the experiences within his family. A particularly good relationship emerges with his wife, to whom, as a loyal mother, he also dedicated various children's books. His works are characterized by a pronounced understanding of morality. In a funny way, he points out their wrongdoing to those protagonists who behave immorally according to the applicable social norms. At the same time he advertises in a humorous way for understanding and tolerance between people. In addition to the stories, he wrote radio plays and plays.
