Werner Schuhn

Werner Schuhn (born January 12, 1925 in Daun ; † July 2, 1989 in Trier - Ehrang ) was a German teacher and local writer .

Life

Werner Schuhn attended a grammar school in Trier from 1936. After military service and imprisonment during the Second World War, he finally obtained his Abitur in 1946. In the following year he passed the teacher examination and then taught at schools in Lahr and Pfalzel . In 1966 he was appointed rector of the Unter Gerst elementary school in Ehrang . Two years later he stopped working due to illness. In retirement he carried out intensive research into local history, published historical articles, wrote chronicles and was editor of the series "Ehranger Heimat".
