Werner Vahlenkamp (born June 22, 1944 in Oldenburg ) is a German state historian specializing in the labor movement and Judaism in the Oldenburg region .

Vahlenkamp grew up in the Bürgerfelde district. After attending elementary school, Vahlenkamp worked for the Oldenburg city administration until he retired. Here he was most recently responsible as a foreigner and integration officer. In addition, Vahlenkamp was regularly active as an adult education center lecturer.

Vahlenkamp is a member of the SPD , the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation and is the regional representative of the Association Against Forgetting - For Democracy . He is married and has a son. In 1999 Vahlenkamp was awarded the Oldenburg Landscape Badge of Honor.
