Werner Wieland (born May 21, 1928 ) is a former German soccer player who played for VfR Mannheim and FC Bayern Munich in the Oberliga Süd .

Career

In the 1950/51 season, Wieland belonged to the football department of FV 09 Weinheim , with whom he rose to the 1st amateur league at the end of the season as the champion of the 2nd amateur league Rhein-Neckar in the North Baden association . After only one season in this division, he moved to the 1952/53 season for the league club VfR Mannheim , for whom he played on January 4, 1953 (16th match day) in the 4-1 defeat in the away game against Bayern Munich in the Oberliga Süd debuted. In his second league use on March 8, he scored the goal for the 1-1 draw against Kickers Offenbach . He acted in both games as a half-forward in the World Cup system practiced at the time .
