Werner von Steusslingen (Münster)
Werner von Steußlingen († December 1, 1151 ) was the 21st Bishop of Münster from 1132 until his death in 1151 . He is the son of Adalbero von Steusslingen and his wife Judith.
During his tenure Werner founded in 1136 by Steußlingen Damenstift Asbeck in Münsterland Asbeck . Due to his friendship with Norbert von Xanten , the founder of the Premonstratensian Order , he aligned the monastery with this way of life.
In 1147 he took part in the Wenden Crusade .
