The Wernigerode Bürgerbrunnen is a contained spring in the forest area west of the Hasserode district of Wernigerode in the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The fountain, next to which there is a seating group, which was last restored by the Harz Club in autumn 2006 , is on the connection path from the Mönchsbuche to the Bielsteinchaussee not far from the Steinerne Renne .
The fountain commemorates the events of the political change in 1989 in the GDR . Therefore, a stone surrounding the fountain bears this year.
