Wesselin Staikow

Wesselin Georgiev Staikow ( Bulgarian Веселин Георгиев Стайков ; born July 18, 1906 in Peschtera , † July 10, 1970 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian graphic artist .

Life

Staikow graduated from the Sofia Art Academy in 1932 . In 1942 he studied in Rome . From 1961 he was a professor at the Sofia School of Fine Arts.

In his work he dealt in particular with the everyday life of the population, but also created cityscapes. Staikow was awarded the Dimitrov Prize .
