West Frisian (dialect group)
West Frisian ( Dutch West Fries , West Frisian West Friesk ) is a collective name for a group of North Holland dialects that are spoken in the Dutch province of North Holland in the West Friesland region. This dialect group should not be confused with the West Frisian language spoken in the neighboring province of Friesland . Nevertheless, remnants of the Frisian language originally spoken in this area can still be seen in the West Frisian dialects .
