The West Prongs ( English for Westzinken ) are a mountain group of three distinctive rock spurs in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains , they form the western end of a ridge just north of Elliott Ridge .

The United States Geological Survey mapped them on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1956 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1968 after Clyde E. West, cook at Ellsworth Station in the Antarctic winter of 1958.
