The Westendorf 52 building is a listed building in Halberstadt in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in Halberstadt's old town on the north side of Westendorf street, west of the Church of Our Lady . A little further east, the Grudenberg road joins from the north. Westendorf 53 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the west .

Architecture and history

The two-storey, eaves half-timbered house , the ground floor of which is a massive construction, was built towards the end of the 16th century. On the framework there are the ornamental forms typical of the construction period, such as roller and dew stick . The entrance area is designed in baroque form and is crowned by an ox-eye .

In the monument register for the city of Halberstadt it is registered as a residential building under registration number 094 02807 as a monument .

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Gustav Knauert grain and flour store was located in the building . Today (as of 2017) the ground floor is used for gastronomy.
