The Western Crater (English for West Crater ) is a 3561 m high, small and circular volcanic crater on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises on the western slope of the summit of Mount Erebus and thus, as its name suggests, on the side of the summit crater.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2000 for his relative position on Mount Erebus.
