Music video
The music video was directed by Brian Jones and Piers Ashworth in December 1985. At the beginning of the video, Janet Jackson talks to her friend about her boyfriend, then sings the song. Then her boyfriend appears, and everyone in the bar looks astonished. In the form of a performance Jackson makes the problems in the relationship clear to him, whereupon everyone joins the dance. The choreographer for the clip was Paula Abdul .
